Emphasis: We begin our new half-term of classes with some slow sequences that get the whole body moving. The class follows the usual format of a seated warm-up and a gentle Sun Salutation so you notice how things feel, followed by two progressive sequences that include lots of familiar standing poses. Then there's a seated sequence that uses blocks and bricks to sit on in some variations of Garland Pose (Malasana) and Half Hero Pose (Ardha Virasana). The supine poses include Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana) and a good stretch out in a twist and Supine Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana).
Props required: A blanket, two blocks and two bricks.
